InvisalignDidn’t wear your retainer like you were supposed to? Or do you finally want to make the changes to your smile that you may not have been able to do in the past without metal braces? Invisalign clear trays may be a great option for you.
How Does Invisalign Work?Invisalign helps to straighten your teeth by using aligners that are custom-made for you and you alone. Since the aligners are made of a smooth and comfortable plastic material you barely feel them when worn. Also, unlike metal braces that are visible from a distance, the custom-made aligners are virtually invisible. The aligners shift your teeth gradually and in a gentle manner into the desired place. No metal brackets for attaching or wires to tighten are required – the aligner works perfectly on its own. The results? An eye-catching and contagious smile forever!
Having a straight smile not only improves your self-confidence, it benefits your overall oral health! Having a straight smile will help make a great first impression and reduce your risk for tooth decay and gum disease.
The Invisalign ProcessWe make the Invisalign process easy. Dr. Kelly is certified in advanced Invisalign techniques and is constantly attending courses to continue her education. She is your go-to dentist in Charlotte for Invisalign. Dr. Kelly will get your smile right!
Your first visit would be with Dr. Kelly and consists of making impressions of your teeth and photographs. Dr. Kelly then reviews your case online and makes the necessary corrections you want to achieve with your smile. This is then reviewed with you at a second appointment to make sure you’re happy with what we expect the outcome to look like. If you approve we move on to making your clear Invisalign trays. Your third visit includes adding any necessary, removable, tooth colored Invisalign attachments to your teeth. These Invisalign attachments are what allow the clear tray to put forces on your teeth that allow them to move. These are almost invisible attachments and are removed at the end of treatment. After receiving your Invisalign trays you will then change the trays every 2 weeks with the next tray provided. Dr. Kelly will need to see you approximately every six weeks. Length of treatment varies by the amount of movement needed.
Invisalign at Southview DentistryWe make the Invisalign process smooth and easy for you from the time you come in for your first appointment through your treatment. During your first visit with us you will be attended to by Dr. Kelly who will make digital impressions of your teeth for quicker turnaround time (none of the foamy material that you need to bite down on!) and take photographs. Dr. Kelly will use the resources online to review your case and make the necessary corrections that will help you achieve your perfect smile.
For your second appointment, you will review the proposed treatment plan. Dr. Kelly creates a 3D video model of your teeth throughout the treatment so you can view the intended outcome before making a decision to begin. Once you’re ready to begin, Dr. Kelly will proceed to make your custom clear Invisalign trays.
During the third appointment Dr. Kelly will place removable tooth-colored invisalign attachments on your teeth. These allow for the Invisalign tray to exert a force on your teeth that will result in movement. These invisalign attachments are removed when your treatment ends. After treatment begins you will need to schedule routine visits to check on your progress.
The duration of the Invisalign process varies with every patient. Make an appointment with Dr. Kelly today and see how the Invisalign treatments can help you achieve your ideal smile!
