Dr. Kelly Wilson
Dr. Wilson or "Dr. Kelly" as her patients call her, grew up in Charlotte. She received her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Georgia and continued on to to get her dental degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Kelly has practiced dentistry in several areas around Charlotte ranging from Locust to Ballantyne and is happy to finally have a place to call home in historic South End. Dr. Kelly enjoys being a general dentist in Charlotte so that she can take care of all her patients needs in one place. She enjoys treating all ages ranging from the small with baby teeth to the elderly with false teeth. Dr. Kelly also enjoys all aspects of cosmetic dentistry such as veneers, crowns and whitening.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Kelly enjoys cheering on the Charlotte Checkers Hockey team as a Checkmate.
Dr. Micheal Wilson
Dr. Wilson was raised in nearby Kings Mountain, NC. He received a Bachelors in Music Performance at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was a member of the marching Tar Heels. He also received his dental education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was awarded the prestigious Board of Governors Scholarship. As a dental student, Micheal was one of ten that were selected to travel to Nusestros Pequenos Hermanos, an orphanage in Miacatlan, Mexico. There the group provided care to approximately 1,000 orphaned kids. Along with Southview Dentistry, Dr. Wilson continues to work with Long Term Care Associates providing dental services in multiple nursing homes across the state. He has obtained privileges with many hospitals from Murphy to Pungo NC which allows him to provide dental surgery services to many in the more rural areas of North Carolina.
When not practicing dentistry, Micheal enjoys cycling, golf, bouldering and playing chef.
Both doctors are members of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS), the South Charlotte Study Club and the Charlotte Dental Society.
Charlotte Dentist Gives Back
Giving back to the community is an important part of the Southview Dentistry philosophy. Upon opening in August of 2009, we partnered up with the Dove's Nest of Charlotte. This is a recovery facility for women who are on their way back to a substance free life. While a patient at Dove's Nest, Southview Dentistry is proud to be able to take care of their dental needs.
